Overview

Why the SIRV?

The SIRV is the Philippines' investor visa offering indefinite residence for investors who invest at least USD 75,000 in approved areas. Eligible SIRV investments are limited to qualifying shares of stock in existing, new or proposed corporations under the current BOI rules.

Unlike the SRRV, the SIRV targets active investors who want to invest in the Philippine economy. Strasia Group guides you through investment planning and application.

Frequently Asked Questions

What investments are allowed?
Eligible SIRV investments are limited to qualifying shares of stock in existing, new or proposed corporations under the current BOI rules.
Can I work with the SIRV?
The SIRV alone does not authorize work. However, you can apply for an additional Alien Employment Permit.
What is life like in the Philippines as a SIRV holder?
The SIRV gives you permanent residence in the Philippines. You can enter and exit freely. Manila, Cebu, and Davao are popular residences. The cost of living is low and the population speaks English.
What taxes will I pay in the Philippines?
Foreigners are generally taxed in the Philippines only on Philippine-sourced income. Foreign-sourced income is generally not taxed in the Philippines for foreign individuals, but Philippine-sourced income and local investments can still have tax consequences. Strasia recommends individual tax advice.
Can my family join me under the SIRV?
Yes, eligible dependants may generally be included, subject to the programme rules and documentary requirements.
What is the path to citizenship?
The Philippines does not allow dual citizenship for naturalized citizens. Naturalization is possible after 10 years of residence but very rarely approved. The SIRV is the long-term solution for most investors.
